San Francisco International (SFO) Airport is not only the means to your travel destination. It’s also a journey in and of itself. There’s so much to see, do, and discover while you’re here. If you have a layover between flights or like to arrive at the airport early, we’ll show you how to make the most of your time with us. Here are our top picks for airport restaurants and more to explore in each major airline terminal at SFO.

Delta Airlines

If you’re flying on Delta, you’ll depart out of SFO Harvey Milk Terminal 1 C Concourse, where Delta Sky Club members can access the members-only lounge. Not a Delta Sky Club member? There are plenty of other dining options for you to check out.

In the mood for some comfort food? Get your fix of Southern comfort food featuring fresh local ingredients at Farmerbrown. Or check out Little Skillet for grab-and-go options of the same cuisine.

For another quick bite with local flair, check out Dolores Park Cafe located near Gate C4. Started in the Mission District of San Francisco, Dolores Park Cafe offers delicious sandwiches, pastries, smoothies, and freshly pulled espresso beverages.

But keep in mind there’s so much more to do at SFO than satisfy your hunger cravings. For instance, Terminals 2 and 3 are home to yoga rooms where you can get in tune with your inner zen. These rooms are available for passenger use free of charge. Take advantage of the space to simply relax, reflect, and rejuvenate.

Did you know that SFO is also home to its own museum? Check out our historical and cultural exhibitions during your travels. Have time to spare before going through security? Visit SkyTerrace, our observation deck with 180-degree views of the airfield. It’s the perfect place to unwind before you get ready to take flight.

Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines is located in Harvey Milk Terminal 1, where you’ll have access to all the amenities of the Alaska Lounge, which was built from the ground up and opened in 2024.

The SF Eats Food Hall is steps away from the Alaska Lounge, which features local flavors from Bay Area eateries like Kitava, Tony's Pizza, and Equator Coffees. Other locally inspired options include Proper Food for chef-driven grab-and-go options and Amy's Drive Thru features organic veggie, vegan, and gluten-free burgers, chili, mac and cheese, and breakfast items.

There's also plenty of great places to shop for a unique gift before you board your Alaska Airlines flight. Check out The Bay Collection featuring artful souvenirs from renown local museums or take home a San Francisco-inspired sweater, tee, or socks from San Franpsycho.

American Airlines

If you’re flying American, you’ll be heading out of Harvey Milk Terminal 1. You’ll find the same great options from above, and even more options as you make your way down the B Concourse. Bourbon Pub offers up traditional pub fare, like burgers, tacos, and fish and chips. Drake’s Flyaway is another good option if you want to grab a pizza and beer.

In the mood for something different? Mama Go’s Filipino Cuisine serves up Filipino foods, from noodles to stews and lumpia egg rolls. You will also find cocktails and boba drinks to round out your meal.

After you grab a quick snack, be sure to pick up dessert at GR Chocolate Boutique or browse one of our other great shops. You can pick up any last-minute items you forgot to pack or simply treat yourself to something new. If you’re traveling with kids, be sure to visit our kids’ spots as well.

United Airlines

Domestic United flights depart from Terminal 2 and 3, while international United flights depart from International Terminal G. Terminals 2 and 3 is home to a plethora of dining options. 

Want to have a fiesta before you take flight? In Terminal 2, stop by Andale Mexican Kitchen + Bar for fresh, made-to-order burritos, tacos, drinks and more. Or try the award-winning Cat Cora’s Kitchen, also in Terminal 2, which features dishes with a Greek influence. The tapas lounge also features takeout salads and sandwiches for travelers on the go.

Want to unwind with some California wine? Check out SF Uncork’d for a wide selection of wine, champagne, and craft beer.

Looking to try one of the top airport restaurants in the world? Stop by Lark Creek Grill, located near Gate D1 in Terminal 2. This table service restaurant was named among the “Top Airport Restaurants in the World” by Condé Nast Traveler.

Want to catch a sports game instead? Watch your favorite team play on the big screen TVs at San Francisco Giants Clubhouse—a sports bar with a ballpark-inspired menu to make you feel like you’re actually at the game.

In Terminal 3, you can also check out our museum exhibits, yoga room, and kids’ spots, our interactive children’s exploration areas.

Traveling internationally? Indulge in some sushi or sashimi at Tomokazu in International Terminal G. You can also grab fresh organic Vietnamese street food at Asian Box, which also serves up vegetarian and gluten-free options.

For modern takes on Southern classics, head to 1300 on Fillmore, a cocktail lounge and restaurant. If you’re craving some international flavor, Mustards Bar & Grill is a Napa Valley bistro serving up American food influenced by European, Asian, African, and Latin American flavors.
